Mattress for bunk beds is purchased that is too small for the bed, there would be some spare space left for the mattress to move about which could be quite dangerous as it presents the possibility that during his or her sleep, the occupant of the upper bunk may involuntary slide the bed towards one end and leave a gap at the other end in which he or she could slip.
